ESSENTIALS/FUNDAMENTALS – Greater focus on skills and free skiing rather than gate training.Designed specifically for children who show a keen inclination towards racing and demonstrate strong inclination towards structured competition.
LEARN TO TRAIN – Designed for athletes who are looking to further develop their ski racing skills.
With greater focus on skills and free skiing rather than gate training, the program includes Sundays and the first week of the July school holidays and the first week of the Sept/Oct school holidays.
This program is geared for the young skier that learns through fun, skill challenge, and guided discovery. This program accepts skiers with an ability to demonstrate full parallel turns on Morning Glory and Broadway – must be able to load & ride the chairlifts unaided.
The focus is training as one team with individual goals. Preparation through technical skills, the FUN-damentals of ski training and progression to competition. This program will also introduce tactics, multiple disciplines, and race day preparation and process. The skills from previous levels are expanded and adapted in training situations that offer the athlete both fun and challenge. Coaches will bring the focus towards developing the athletes skiing and race skills.
All programs are based on age, but athletes may be grouped based on individual ability and groups may be paired together based on numbers.
Coaches are available to attend all races at Mt Hutt – Flying Keas Mt Hutt and Interfields (U8 /10/12/14); U14 athletes who plan to race at National Points races should move up to a weekend program or above. The program excludes race entry fees.
Additional training is available by arrangement with Program Director at a cost of $125pp/day for Team Hutt members, subject to numbers and availability. However if you wish to train additional days on a regular basis, then please sign up to the full weekend program or discuss this with the Program Director.
We encourage all parents to take out their own insurance for unforeseen circumstances. Team Hutt does not have an insurance option to provide. We DO NOT provide refunds for the program.
